Vert Design Information

Vert Design is an Industrial Design house based in Sydney Australia. We are a dynamic team of 12 designers that combine the experience of a commercial design practice with the innovation of a small product house. Founded in 2005 by Andrew Simpson, the studio operates as a testing ground for new concepts and self-initiated experimentation, as well as offering design concepts, modelling, prototyping and manufacturing to clients from niche boutique brands, to multinational organisations. This approach at the process edge of making has led to innovations and technological advancements, such as the sustainable reuse of materials, all of which inform Vert’s product design output. Our team have different strengths, but we have two common key skills in the studio: 1. An understanding of how people perceive and interact with products. 2. A strong technical understanding of a diverse range of manufacturing processes. These two skills allow our work to comprehensively span a huge range of industries and project types; working across industrial design, strategy and craft including industrial and medical products, glass, ceramics, furniture, lighting, consumer electrics, wearable tech, fashion, jewellery, eye-wear, boats, shelters, and automotive parts.
