Versatran Information

The Versatran Transport Retriever was originally developed by Joe Simons in 2002, as he recognized a specific need in the market for a more simplified method to load and transport various types of equipment. This innovative concept lead him to develop an air operated curved platform, and ramp system that offers greater hauling capacity, faster cycle times, lowest deck height in the industry, as well as being able to operate the system without idling the truck. This design concept saves fuel and reduces emissions while effectively satisfying our customer’s delivery requirements. On November 18th, 2019, Versatran was acquired by Metalcraft of Mayville. The acquisition has broadened the product families that are offered by Metalcraft, including SCAG Power Equipment, which features being the second largest manufacturer of zero turn mowers, as well as contract manufacturing for a number of Fortune 500 companies.
