In 1976, the founder of the company, Mr. Diamantis Masoutis, inaugurated the first store of the chain on K. Krystalli Street, in the heart of Thessaloniki. Today, Diamantis Masoutis S.A. operates a large network of stores across Northern Greece and holds a significant position in the retail sector, while nationwide it ranks among the largest supermarket chains. The company owns 389 stores: 349 supermarkets, 15 GRAND Masoutis, 1 green store, 23 Cash & Carry outlets, and 1 dark store in Attica. Its stores are located in both mainland and island regions of Greece, serving both retail and wholesale trade. The company has expanded across all regions of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Central Greece, Western Greece, Attica, and the islands of Corfu, Thassos, Lemnos, Lesvos, Chios, Skiathos, Andros, Tinos, Mykonos, Syros, Paros, Naxos, Milos, Santorini, and Kalymnos.
