Venture Ready provides classroom-ready entrepreneurship curriculum for high schools and CTE programs. Launching in Indiana for the 2026–27 school year, Venture Ready aligns with the state’s Next Level Programs of Study Entrepreneurship Pathway: 7154 Principles of Entrepreneurship 7147 Entrepreneurial Operations 7148 New Venture Development 7201 Small Business Operations Capstone WHAT SCHOOLS RECEIVE Each course includes coursebooks, daily lesson plans, slides, activities, videos, assessments, answer keys, teacher guides, and implementation support. Administrators gain a standards-aligned pathway. Teachers gain the resources to teach with confidence, even without a business background. WHAT STUDENTS LEARN AND DO Students learn the fundamentals of business, including marketing, finance, operations, customer service, communication, leadership, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of ownership. They apply those fundamentals by identifying real problems, talking with customers, evaluating ideas, testing demand, building business models, pricing offers, running the numbers, creating prototypes, planning launches, pitching ventures, and learning how businesses operate and grow. WHO BUILT IT Venture Ready was created by Butler University educators who build businesses, not just syllabi. Kristi Mitchell began her first business at 15, spent a decade as a General Motors executive, co-founded a multimillion-dollar security and investigations firm, and directs Butler’s Real Business Experience. Dr. Brenda Geib-Swanson, EdD, MBA, directs Butler’s First-Year Business Experience and brings the instructional-design expertise that turns real business practice into teachable curriculum. Their work contributed to Butler’s recognition as the 2026 USASBE Re-Emerging Entrepreneurship Program National Winner. Indiana is where we launch.
