Vekst Development was founded by Thor Hatton and Kyle McCurdy with the primary goal to empower their community through the construction of economically sustainable and aesthetically pleasing multi-family dwelling projects. With a relationship that stemmed from mutual interest and careers in industrial fields, and backgrounds in project management and business development, it was only a matter of time before their passion for buildings and infrastructure created Vekst Development. With the Seattle real estate market experiencing soaring home prices and absorption rates, while inventory sinks to historic lows, Vekst identified this problem and their answer to it is Urban-Infill. More commonly described as the use of land within a metropolitan area for further construction, emphasizing on community redevelopment and smart growth. It focuses on the reuse and repositioning of obsolete or underutilized buildings and sites. This type of development is essential for renewing transitional neighborhoods and knitting them back together with more prosperous communities.
