Atlanta Veg Fest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support our community and promote the benefits of a vegan and plant-based lifestyle founded in compassion for animals, people and the environment. Learn more about our core team below. Leigh has been vegan since 2001, and loves to show people how easy veganism can be. After operating a vegan business with her husband and exhibiting at festivals and conferences across the country, she decided to start Atlanta Veg Fest in 2012. Leigh also serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta-based non-profit Tommys Holiday Fund , and is in the beginning stages of launching a new endeavor called Normalize Vegan , which seeks to encourage the general public to consider veganism a viable lifestyle option. After graduating from the University of Florida, Brett moved to Atlanta in 2008 for a job in journalism. He founded the ATL Vegan Drinks meetup group and is an active member of the citys growing vegan community. He lives in East Atlanta with his wife and daughter. Adrienne is a longtime vegan and Georgia native who now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She used to write a blog called Crack the Plates (now defunct) that introduced many in the Atlanta area to our vegan scene. A vegan chef turned developer, she now writes about coding and leadership at Leading with Spoons. Follow her on Twitter . Seth and Elena are the founders of VEGANesp , a vegan lifestyle blog where they share recipe reviews and kitchen mishaps. They work with Georgia Animal Rights and Protection and Friends of Animals , and are regulars at ATL Vegan Drinks . Visit their website . When not working on her day job as a commercial real estate consultant or on Atlanta Veg Fest activities, Jennifer can be found volunteering at Furkids Midtown, traveling, or hanging out in her kitchen veganizing traditional New Mexican food. She lives in the O4W with her husband, Kirby, and their two cats. Jennifer has been veg since 1988.
