In these uncertain times, I wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing here at Vega Smile Studio to support our office and our patients requiring dental procedures. As the situation around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, our highest priorities are the health and safety of your patients, our team, and the well-being of the communities we serve. Vega Smile Studio is in contact with the PBC Health Department following CDC Guidelines and WHO recommendations in implementing our procedure to further define our response in relation to COVID-19. As this data continues to evolve, Vega Smile Studio wishes to assure you that we are working hard to maintain the level of quality and patient care our community expects and our standards demand. ***As part of its efforts to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, Dr. Ivan Vega and Vega Smile Studio will begin canceling all "elective" surgeries and procedures for the next 3-4 weeks. Our office will reopen after May 8th. These new guidelines will NOT apply to Emergencies or for patients with severe acute pain (not just a twinge), infections, swelling, bleeding, and/or Maxillofacial trauma. We will reschedule all non-emergent procedures once this crisis is over. We will NOT see patients (1) with both a fever and a cough or (2) those who have traveled internationally within the past 14 days or (3) those who have been in contact with a positive/suspected COVID-19 person. We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitation policies. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to COVID-19, we have taken additional steps to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:• We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including the waiting room, bathrooms, door handles, etc.) and have continued to use medical-grade disinfectants. • Our team will be responsible for immediate cleaning of all patient areas of contact between every patient procedure, consultation or post-surgery visit.
