The Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) is a global non-profit working to mobilize private sector finance for climate action and sustainable development by scaling high-integrity carbon credit markets. Our work is focused on getting carbon finance flowing, and ensuring this private capital is used to drive maximum impact in the countries, regions and communities that need it the most. - VCMI’s guidance sets the global benchmark for credible, best practice corporate use of carbon credits. Our Claims Code of Practice and Scope 3 Action Code of Practice shape corporate action and consistency across international standards and policy frameworks. - We support governments to take ambitious, internationally aligned action to strengthen corporate demand for high-integrity carbon credits by hosting the Secretariat for The Coalition to Grow Carbon Markets. - Our Access Strategies Program supports emerging markets and developing economies to leverage growing demand for carbon credits to unlock much-needed finance for climate action.
