Vaughn R Cook Information

Vaughn R Cook was born in Logan, Utah, and grew up in Cache and Rich Counties, spending most of those years in Hyrum. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in political science. He served an LDS mission in New Zealand. He and his wife Kathryn were married in 1972. Kathy is a registered nurse. They are the parents of 5 children and grandparents to 15. They have been married 44 years. Vaughn is an Oriental Medical Doctor (OMD). He owned a clinic in Salt Lake City for several years and has practiced in Utah County as well. His medical background was the foundation for developing software that is used by healthcare professionals and individuals concerned with health and wellness. He has been involved in the software industry for the last 30 years. In 2004, Vaughn founded his current company, ZYTO. Based in Lindon, Utah, ZYTO currently employs 60 people. For the last two years, ZYTO has been recognized as one of the best companies in Utah to work for. Vaughn is also a cancer survivor. His success in this regard is due to his taking advantage of traditional cancer therapy and complementary and alternative medical therapy. This experience reinforced his underlying belief that no one has a monopoly on the right solutions; instead, we get our best results in life, and in government, when we keep our minds and hearts open and listen to and cooperate with people who have different points of view.
