Vartex AB was founded in 1948 by the father of Lars and Peter Folkeson. The two brothers have run the company during more than 30 years. In July 2011 the company was acquired by Accell Group. During the years the company has developed to be one of the leading wholesalers in Sweden of bicycles, motorcycle accessories as well as fitness equipment. The products are distributed and marketed through a nationwide network of dealers within the bicycle, motorcycle and sports trade. A part of the business consists of deliveries to among others supermarkets with own private brand.
