Van den Berg Roses is an established Dutch family company that has been active since 1900. The Dutch location has grown to 12 hectares. In 2004 the company established a nursery in Naivasha, Kenya. The nursery in Kenya covers 70 hectares and produces mostly for the European market. The nursery in China was established in 2007 and focuses primarily on the Chinese market and the Asian region. Van den Berg China distinguishes itself as a company that produces the best flowers in China. We set out in China with our roses, but are now also growing anthuriums and tulips. We are also testing with other crops to increase our line of products which now covers over 15 hectares. In the area of growing we make revolution in terms of scale and the use of advanced technology. We have changed the Chinese flower industry by using different sales methods, doing our utmost best to control the cold-chain and by using marketing tools to make the final clients aware of that.
