We don't believe in lost causes. Young people need and deserve more than paper qualifications from their education. At Values Academy, we provide an alternative to mainstream education for young people at risk of social exclusion. We give our students the opportunity to take control of their lives and build a positive future. We are one school with two sites: Birmingham and Nuneaton, but our students come from all over the West Midlands and beyond. Values Academy welcomes young people aged 11 to 18 who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our students may be have been excluded from previous schools, or had a very disrupted education. We help them to reconnect and engage with their learning, enabling them to get the most out of their opportunities. Our school name and charitable status reflects our approach: holistic, values-based teaching and learning. We are very proud of our Ofsted reports, which show that our students achieve good academic results. However, our students also develop self-respect, confidence, honesty, compassion and integrity. Before they can achieve academic results, they have to see the value of learning. We help our young people to do this. When young people leave Values Academy, they do so ready to make the most of their opportunities. But don’t take our word for it; our success stories speak for themselves.
