Valova is a Munich-based health tech company. We are building the financial intelligence platform for hospitals: software that covers the entire journey from clinical documentation to paid invoice, across DRG, EBM, GoÄ and PEPP. Valova was born out of first-hand experience in everyday hospital life. We saw how much time and revenue gets lost between treatment and billing, not because people do poor work, but because the processes in between are fragmented. Three billing catalogs, separate systems, manual hand-offs. That is the gap we are closing. Our AI reads the clinical documentation as soon as a case enters the workflow and creates a fully evidenced coding recommendation. The decision always stays with the coding specialists. We do not see ourselves as a replacement for expertise, but as a tool that has their back: for the complex cases, for MD (payer audit) communication, for everything that requires judgment. And we do this within the systems hospitals already use. No system migration, no change project, but an integration into the existing hospital information system. We work with hospitals of every kind, from university medical centers to district hospitals, and we are growing as a team that brings together medicine, technology and health economics. Because we believe: better billing leads to better care.
