IMECO was established in 1977 as an electro-mechanical contracting company in Abu Dhabi. In the first decade, the company proved its capability to compete in various fields of engineering, construction and maintenance in both oil and other government sectors. IMECO started working for ADNOC Group companies, government sectors and international contractors from the early 1980's.
