A strongly connected, healthy and sustainable community in North East Valley and its surrounds is the vision of the Valley Project. The goal of this community-led development project is to mobilise the valley community's strengths and resources in locally-led action to enhance the life of the valley community - its residents, whanau/family and environment. The valley community includes the suburbs of Opoho, Dalmore and Pine Hill. The Valley Project aims to work with the community to support people to realise their ideas for their own community, such as our weekly Kai Share programme, the Open Valley Urban Ecosanctuary and Love the Lindsay groups, community gardens and the Cosy Homes initiative. The Valley Project has four part-time staff."
