This museum is ranked very high for quality, displays, historical description and overall layout. We have so much history here, from Gold Rush days to present with the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake, building of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and of course the infamous Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in between. We have a 1907 Ahrens Steam Engine and the original 1st barrel of oil that actually came to Valdez by dogsled.
