UWE Formula Student Information

Formula Student is the largest Student Motorsport event in the world, attracting over 130 teams from over 30 countries. Students are challenged to design and build a single-seat race car. This year we are building on our previous successes and are entering our car and designs in the Class 1 event. In a Class 1 category the car is put through its paces during 5 dynamic events, as well as the team taking part in planning, costing, and business presentations. The Formula Student events take place over the course of 5 days at Silverstone, the location of the world renowned British Formula One Grand Prix, during the week following the British Grand Prix. Our recent achievements include: 7th place finish at Formula Student Netherlands 2019. 8th place finish as Formula Student UK 2019. The Motorsports Engineering degree offered by The University of the West of England is in the top two of its kind in the country. The university is highly regarded for its engineering offerings, as well as having one of the largest Business Schools in the country.
