The University of Waterloo Chinese Students Association (UWCSA) is a non-profit student organization. Established in 1974, the mission of the organization is to serve the needs of the Chinese students in Waterloo and to provide opportunities and benefits by facilitating the exchange of information between China and the students studying abroad, and by promoting cultural exchange between Chinese and Canadian students. As one of the largest student organizations at the University of Waterloo, UWCSA serves over 2,000 registered members on campus. UWCSA regularly organizes large-scale events and cultural activities, such as Chinese New Year Celebration and Midnight Social, to promote cultural awareness with various on-campus groups and other universities.
