UVAFinance supports the University of Virginia's mission through strategic financial leadership, responsible stewardship, and exceptional service. We partner with faculty, staff, and University leadership to provide the financial systems, expertise, and guidance that advance UVA's missions of education, research, health care, and public service. The University operates on a $7 billion annual budget, maintains a net position of more than $15.5 billion, and has held a AAA bond rating from all three major rating agencies since 2003. Our role is to help ensure these resources are managed responsibly while enabling informed decision-making across the University. Our work includes budgeting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, procurement, treasury, tax, payroll, travel and expense, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, enterprise financial systems, and data and analytics. We also help build a connected financial community through training, conferences, online resources, blogs, podcasts, and peer networks. Through initiatives like OneUVA Workday, we're modernizing financial services and technology while making finance easier to navigate, more efficient, and more collaborative.
