A magnificent power station of the 1920s, reborn as Queensland's home of contemporary arts and culture, and the beating heart of Brisbane's festival life. On the banks of the Brisbane River, Brisbane Powerhouse is a place where history and creativity collide. A precinct alive with possibility, deeply rooted in the life of this city, and driven by a singular vision: to open minds through the arts. This is a place with a sense of play. With over 1,250 performances and events each year, our program spans festival, visual arts, music, theatre, comedy, dance, film, in conversation and digital arts. Bold, diverse and made with Brisbane in mind. We produce and power some of the city's most significant festivals and events — including the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Melt, and Night Feast. Through our Brisbane Artist in Residence program, we invest in the city's creative future, supporting local artists to create, experiment and grow. As Brisbane steps onto the world stage for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, our ambition grows with it. We are building a cultural institution of international standing — one that reflects the boldness, diversity and spirit of this city, and that welcomes the world with the full force of what Queensland's arts can offer. Brisbane Powerhouse features two main stage theatres, three smaller performance venues, gallery spaces, three restaurants and bars (Bar Alto, Mary Mae's Bar + Kitchen and Vertigo), P.S. Powerhouse Store, corporate and events facilities and one of the best river views in Brisbane. Brisbane Powerhouse is a Brisbane City Council owned venue.

Carriageworks is one of Australia’s most significant creative industry hubs, renowned for our dynamic cultural events, performances and exhibitions. Housed in a historic railway workshop in Sydney on Gadigal Country, Carriageworks offers a vibrant platform for theatre, music, dance, markets and more. We collaborate with leading local and international artists to foster innovation and creativity in our distinctive industrial setting. Open Wed-Sun 10am-5pm.
