Launched in 2006 Utopia Pictures is the pioneer of short film distribution in Russia and one of the key distributer of art-mainstream and independent filmmaking. We are inspired Mission We are devoted to the idea of promoting independent filmmaking and short films over the wild and unexplored territory of Russia and CSI-countries. Large-scale Scope We collaborate with 40 cinemas in 25 cities in 11 different times zones for more then 10 000 km length and 4 000 km width Utopia Pictures started with distributing the International Film and Animation Festival “Future Shorts”. By now we have displayed more than 40 Future Shorts programs as well as programmes of «Kurzfilm Festival» and «Klik! Amsterdam Animation Festival». Since 2013 Utopia has entered into exclusive partnership with the global franchise Oscar Shorts. In 2014 we launched monthly short film cinema program. Each programme gleaned by subject or genre from filmmakers and distributor worldwide. Utopia Pictures distribute 98% of short films in Russian market. Nowdays Utopia Pictures working both with short films and feature movies such as 'The Imposter' , The 'Pervert's Guide to Ideology', 'The Tribe' and several art-house Russian feature films like 'Chapiteau-show'.
