This Utah County Blizzard hockey team is a USA Hockey Senior Elite Check Team based out of Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, Utah. The team was formed by several former Utah Valley University (UVU) hockey players along with other local hockey talent. After UVU decided to do away with the hockey program in 2009, several of their players had the desire to keep playing in a competitive league in the Orem/Provo area. They decided to start the Utah County Blizzard and with the help of many players, fans, and others, the team was formed. This team is made up of players from all over the U.S. and Canada and the players range in age from 18 to 46. The team is coached by Jeff Pierce, who has more than 15 years experience coaching and playing hockey. The Blizzard are happy to make their home in Utah County and would like the community to get behind our team! Come support the Utah County Blizzard!
