The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth at every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open. Established in 1881, the USTA is a progressive and diverse not-for-profit organization whose volunteers, professional staff, and financial resources support a single mission: to promote and develop the growth of tennis. The USTA is the largest tennis organization in the world, with 17 geographical sections, more than 700,000 individual members and 7,000 organizational members, thousands of volunteers and a professional staff dedicated to growing the game.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the world governing body of tennis, one of the few truly global sports. The ITF's mission is to further grow and promote the sport of tennis worldwide, to develop the game at all levels and ages, and to make, amend and uphold the rules of the game. One of the ITF's key roles is to organise major international tennis team events, including Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge, the Olympic Tennis Event and Paralympic Wheelchair Tennis Event.

Tennis Europe (by constitution European Tennis Federation) is the largest regional association of the sport’s governing body, the International Tennis Federation. As a non-profit organizing body of European tennis, based in Basel, Switzerland, Tennis Europe is comprised of 50 member nations and cooperates with constituent national federations to sanction, manage and support well over 1000 international tennis tournaments each year across the continent. Tennis Europe maintains excellent relations with the ATP and WTA Tours, European Union, and the wider tennis industry.
