The HUG, the leading university hospital in Switzerland, includes 10 hospitals and 30 health care facilities. The university Hospitals of Geneva have a capacity of around 2'100 beds, provide more than a million ambulatory services per year and employ almost 13'000 staff.

CHUV (Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois), based in the Canton of Vaud, is one of the 5 teaching hospitals / medical schools in Switzerland. We provide care for in-patients and out-patients in all branches of medicine and surgery, including both somatic and psychiatric disciplines. As a teaching hospital, we work in close partnership with the University of Lausanne.

The Hirslanden Hospital Group consists of 16 hospitals – many of which have an outpatient surgical centre and an A&E department – and runs 17 radiology centres and five radiotherapy centres. This makes it the largest medical network in Switzerland. Hirslanden's 16 hospitals cover almost every medical discipline. The private hospital group was formed in 1990 out of the merger of a number of private hospitals, and became part of the South African hospital group Mediclinic International Limited in 1990.
