USECO has manufactured and marketed meal delivery equipment for over 120 years and was family-owned until 1968. That year, USECO was purchased by Standex International Corporation, a publicly-traded, New York Stock Exchange listed company. About that time, USECO developed the UNITRAYTM heated and refrigerated cart which was an early landmark for temperature maintenance. Then in the mid-1980's, USECO introduced its first cook/chill system consisting of the patented Rota-ChillTM Blast chiller and a rethermalization module, computer-controlled, for bulk and plated chilled foods, supported by a refrigerated transport cart and tray line. Since that time, USECO has continued the development of cook/chill systems continually expanding and refining its product line. Today, USECO is the only domestic based company manufacturing and marketing convective complete tray based rethermalization systems. Each state-of-the-art UNITRONTM system is highly engineered, fabricated to exacting manufacturing standards by craftsmen. These extensively patented systems, in conjunction with an advanced meal production operation, significantly improve food quality and safety while providing optimum hot and cold temperatures. They are designed to enhance food service operation at a single site or expandable to allow multiunit consolidation into one food production location. USECO provides extensive operational support and our HACCP based software is extremely flexible and designed to simplify the conversion from cook/serve to cook/chill. Tailored to each end user's needs, the multifaceted software encompasses all aspects of the conversion: from menu to purchasing, through inventory and ingredient control, production and protected storage, cold tray assembly and rethermalization.
