AKC Reunite is North America’s largest not for profit pet ID and recovery service. We are committed to Pet Identification, specifically ensuring pets have 2 forms of ID, a tag and a microchip, to aid in their quick identification and return home should they get lost. We have over 6 million pets of 35 species enrolled in our recovery service. AKC Reunite was founded by The American Kennel Club in 1995 as AKC Companion Animal Recovery, and we are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Microchips: AKC Reunite is committed to Pet Identification, specifically ensuring pets have 2 forms of ID, a tag and a microchip, to aid in their quick identification and return home should they get lost. We sell microchips to vets, shelters, rescues and breeders with tailored programs to fit their needs. Recovery: With your help, AKC Reunite will maintain its position as the national recovery database of choice in the companion animal community. AKC Reunite offers an incredible value for its microchip and ID service, with proceeds supporting the needs of the animals that inhabit and enrich our lives. Giving Back: Our reach goes beyond identifying and reuniting pets, one-at-a-time. It is our hope to remain a pipeline of support through microchip and scanner donations, veterinary student scholarships, search and rescue group grants, natural disaster relief, and our many other charitable programs.

We broadcast voice messages and digital flyers on multiple platforms directly to neighborhoods near the location a pet was last seen with pinpoint mapping precision.

We deliver our free pet search and adoption services to thousands of Australians visiting the PetRescue website every day in search of a new family member. And through our innovative programs and corporate partnerships, we bring millions of dollars worth of goods and services to hundreds of grassroots community rescue organisations Australia wide.
