Usableco is the independent design practice of Brett Combs, a senior product designer with over 24 years of experience spanning UX, UI, visual communication, and front-end collaboration. Founded to serve startups, agencies, and enterprise organizations, Usableco specializes in creating user-centered digital experiences that are elegant, efficient, and built for scale. From 2004 through 2012, Usableco operated as a full-time freelance practice, delivering high-impact design services to a wide range of clients in tech, finance, education, consumer goods, and B2B SaaS. Projects included marketing websites, responsive mobile interfaces, product UX flows, app prototypes, brand systems, and print collateral. Every engagement was grounded in usability, systems thinking, and the belief that great design supports both clarity and performance. As design tooling evolved, so did the studio’s expertise. Usableco became an early adopter of Figma, prototyping tools, and CSS-aligned design systems, building visual frameworks that accelerated development and improved collaboration between design and engineering. Services expanded to include end-to-end product design, UX audits, research synthesis, and accessible UI design aligned with WCAG standards. Today, Usableco remains active as the professional identity behind Brett’s consulting, portfolio, and project documentation.
