USCA is an organization which depends largely on its membership to be able to provide opportunities to college archers across the United States. As such, all clubs, coaches, and athletes must be registered members in order to participate in USCA events and Club activities. The USCA Board of Directors unanimously approved the following membership requirements, fees, and support for USCA clubs, athletes, and coaches:Existing Club Membership - Club Fees will remain at $90 and include registration for 2 coaches. The Club expiration date will be one date -- 1 Feb of each year. Clubs that are expiring in July - December 2010 and January 2011 will be granted automatic extensions at no additional fees which takes their expiration dates to 1 Feb 2012. All Clubs will pay the annual club fee on or before 1 Feb beginning 1 Feb 2011. New Clubs - Effective immediately, new clubs will pay 50% of the standard club fee upon registration. Clubs that register from 1 July - 31 December and 1-31 January 2011 will be able to register for free but will pay the club renewal fee on or before 1 February 2011. Individual Athletes- Individual membership fees are $35. This is the same amount that athletes paid as NAA members. Coaches- Two coaches may register for free under the Club membership. Additional coaches will pay a $10 membership fee to cover insurance costs. Coaches are covered by USCA insurance for activities at sanctioned USCA events and official club events, including practice and sanctioned tournaments. In order to qualify for coach stipends, USCA funded training and the opportunity to serve on the World University Staff must be registered and active Coach members of their respective clubs for at least 1 year. Registered coaches are required to have a background check. USCA accepts proof of background checks for all NAA, NFAA, NADA, and NASP certified instructors. If you've completed a background check for these organizations, then no further checks are required. All athletes and coaches will be able to register through the AMS in mid-July. Current USCA athletes will be transitioned to the USCA membership and provided a user name and password to update their membership information. All athletes are covered by USCA's liability and medical insurance. USCA insurance is for activities at sanctioned USCA events and official club events, including practice. A notification will be sent out at the beginning of the fall semester. Supporting Membership: For archers who are not USCA members, but would like to compete in the 'Guest' division and USCA tournaments, USCA has created a special non-voting class. Supporting Members can register and pay a $10 membership fee that will provide insurance coverage at any USCA sanctioned tournaments that have a 'Supporting Member (Guest) Division.' The membership is active for 1 year. Insurance restrictions require that only USCA members can participate in USCA events. The Supporting Member class supports the goal of USCA to provide access to our tournaments and offer open and inclusive participation. Athletes and coaches will be required to read and agree to the USCA Rules and Procedures as well as the USCA Code of Ethics at the time of registration. The Easton Foundations has generously offered to help transition athletes by supporting USCA individual memberships for our athletes who have expiring NAA membership from July through January 2011. If your club is planning to host a tournament, your club must submit tournament dates to USCA and submit the results within 10 days after the event. Tournaments that are not registered through USCA are not covered by insurance and the individual athletes and their respective universities/colleges assume all liability. If you have any questions regarding membership as individuals or clubs, please contact Membership Manager Chadrick Mansfield at membership@uscollegiatearchery.org or 714.300.4467 (PST) or contact Executive Director Lorretta Sinclair at director@uscollegiatearchery.org or 760.375.3659 Pacific M-F 11a.m. - 4p.m. Your club membership is extended until 1 Feb 2011 at which time the club must pay the renewal fee of $90 . Please visit www.ams.uscollegiatearchery.org and update your club information. Please inform ALL club members that they need to register their individual membership at www.ams.uscollegiatarchery.org
