U.S. Army Recruiting Command manages the Army's force generation pipeline. Known as USAREC, the command is responsible for marketing, recruiting, and initial entry training for the U.S. Army's enlisted soldiers and officers. USAREC consists of the U.S. Army Recruiting Division, U.S. Army Cadet Command, the Army Enterprise Marketing Office, the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, the Recruiting and Retention College, and the Army Training Center at Fort Jackson, S.C. To execute its Army-wide initial entry training mission, USAREC is supported by the 80th Training Command (U.S. Army Reserve) and works through every training base in the Army to deliver warriors who are ready to crush it at their first unit of assignment. Historically responsible for enlisted recruiting and accessions for niche officer specialties, USAREC's new mission gives the command oversight of the entire force generation pipeline. The expanded purview provides USAREC with the right tools to provide the U.S. Army's strength while reducing attrition throughout the accessions and training processes.
