Transparency International is a global movement working in over 100 countries to end the injustice of corruption.
We focus on issues with the greatest impact on people’s lives and hold the powerful to account for the common good. Through our advocacy, campaigning and research, we work to expose the systems and networks that enable corruption to thrive, demanding greater transparency and integrity in all areas of public life.
Our mission is to stop corruption and promote transparency, accountability and integrity at all levels and across all sectors of society.
Our vision is a world in which government, politics, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free of corruption.
We are independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit and work with like-minded partners across the world to end the injustice of corruption.

The ODI is a non-profit company, founded in 2012 by inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, and AI expert, Sir Nigel Shadbolt, and headquartered in King’s Cross, London, UK.
Our mission is to work with companies and governments to build an open, trustworthy data ecosystem. We want a world where data works for everyone. To do this, we work with businesses, governments, research organisations, public bodies, civil society, and philanthropic and other grant-giving organisations.
THE WORK WE DO
The ODI operates as an institute, and we also undertake commercial work that advances our mission. Our operating costs are met through a range of grants and commercial revenue.
Our work includes applied research; consultancy services; training; and providing free reports, tools and webinars.
We focus our efforts in three broad areas:
1. Improving the data practices of organisations so that they can build and manage adequate data infrastructure and data use
2. Tackling challenges so that the data ecosystem works better
3. Gathering and creating research, evidence and knowledge about data and the benefits of open, trustworthy data access, to inform companies and policymakers as they create data infrastructure, assets, practices and policies.
If you’d like to help us advance this work, we'd love to hear from you – please get in touch at info@theodi.org
Founded in 2013 by MIT Media Lab, the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), and ODI, Data-Pop Alliance (DPA) is a global non-profit ‘think-and-do tank’. We collaborate with researchers, data scientists, practitioners, policymakers, and activists to leverage data and AI for social good. Our work centers on three pillars: diagnosing local realities and human challenges through data and AI; mobilizing capacities, communities, and ideas toward data-literate societies; and transforming the systems and processes that shape our societies.
DPA is registered in the USA, Mexico, France, and Senegal.
