UQuant is a student initiative founded by students of the University of Miami and dedicated to advancing education, projects, and careers in quantitative finance. Our mission is to equip students with the skills, experiences, and networks necessary to succeed in highly competitive areas of modern finance . We combine teaching, applied research, and real world projects to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice. Members gain exposure to topics such as quantitative research, financial modeling, algorithmic trading, risk management, and data driven decision making. Through workshops, case studies, and project based learning, students not only deepen their technical understanding but also develop the leadership and communication skills that top firms demand. UQuant fully operates as a division of Trusk Capital & Crypto, leveraging its infrastructure, resources, and student network. This structure allows us to host events, reserve facilities, and access support that strengthens the student experience. By operating under Trusk Capital & Crypto, we provide our members with a unique platform that connects student innovation to the broader finance and technology ecosystem. Beyond education, UQuant emphasizes career readiness. We prepare members for internships and full time opportunities by running mock interviews, resume workshops, and networking sessions. Students also benefit from engagement with industry professionals who provide insight into recruiting, technical skills, and career development.
