Upwave Limited supply independent third party VSP processing services to both UK and international oil and gas companies from its base in North Yorkshire (formerly Aberdeen). The company was established by Andy Jeffreys in 2004 and in the first 9 years of business Upwave have processed 320 VSP datasets for a combination of UK and overseas clients. Andy Jeffreys has been processing VSPs since 1982, initially for SSL and then READ, and has built a reputation for personal service, high quality, rapid turnaround and flexibility. Upwave process all borehole seismic VSP configurations from checkshot surveys through conventional rig source and vertical incidence VSPs to 2D and 3D walkaway VSPs. Both current surveys and VSP reprocessing projects are undertaken. VSP data processing is done on a laptop, with high speed internet access enabling efficient data transfer. The processing software used is VSProwess, supplied by VSProwess Limited. Upwave Limited has ISO 9001 accreditation. Approaches for VSP processing from both existing customers and prospective new clients are welcomed.
