Uptown Junk, was founded in the spring of 2021, following one of the most strange, uncertain, and challenging years in recent memory. The founding team have an interesting range of experience, spanning various industries. The idea for uptown junk clicked whilst working for another junk clearance and waste management company where they saw the opportunity to start a brand-new type of junk clearance and waste management business - one that did not prescribe and, in fact, revolutionised the current industry standards with their service-led focus. Uptown Junk is committed to providing an exceptional level of service from the beginning of the booking to the final disposal of the junk and waste. Henry and the uptown junk team diligently endeavour to be as environmentally responsible as possible. We divert 100% of the waste we collect from landfill. This is achieved through upcycling, giving substantially to charities and recycling absolutely everything we can. Anything we collect that cannot be recycled is diverted away from landfill and turned into refuse-derived fuel, it can be then used as a sustainable energy source. Uptown Junk and the entire team are wholly committed to reducing their carbon footprint across everything we do, from investing in the latest vans and technology, to hopping on our bikes to get to work. We offset 100% of the emissions produced by our vans.
