We get our medication sheets printed out and delivered to the sites along with many changes that occur during the month. Whenever a medication is ordered, it is taken to the site as soon as possible. When a medication is discontinued we send this back to Upstate, and it is disposed of by them. The medications are delivered to the sites in a locked box, so there is no going to the pharmacy to pick up medications. Any questions that the nurses have, they can call and talk directly to a pharmacist to get the information. When we are looking for a change in something related to medications, the owner, also a pharmacist, comes down to meet with us to assist in making the change occur.
