The Elgin School District is located in a rural part of Marion County in Ohio. A large district of nearly 164 square miles, Elgin is comprised mostly of farmland. The Elgin School District serves the villages of Prospect, Green Camp, New Bloomington, and LaRue, and also the western portion of Marion City and surrounding areas. The district serves approximately 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district currently has one K-12 building which was opened in September 2013. This is the first and only campus-style school building in Marion County.

he Benjamin Logan High School STEM program is a curricular program that fosters our First Tech Challenge and First Lego League Competition opportunities for students who have the academic desire to participate in programs related to STEM. THE FTC team has been sponsored by the Bellefontaine JCPenney store for the past two years. Mr. Stormer has helped to shape STEM Education in Ohio as he was selected and appointed as a 2010-2011 STEM Center Fellow through the Dayton Regional STEM Center. Benjamin Logan High School has been a member of the Honda STEM Club Mentorship Program since October 2010. The program is administered by Honda R & D Americas, Inc and is supported by engineers who are able to volunteer four hours of community service per month toward supporting STEM Club activities at area high schools.
