Together we seize the opportunity to heal, grow and thrive in the midst of violence and poverty. Hopeworks Description Hopeworks Camden is a nonprofit that has been working in Camden, NJ since 2000. Hopeworks works with youth ages 16-24 and offers paid training in website design and development, GIS mapping, and other technological skills that will lead to paid internships either with Hopeworks, or with externship partners. About Hopeworks Services: As part of it's program, Hopeworks runs three businesses, offering a complete array of web site design, development, and maintenance, along with GIS mapping services, and finally trauma training to teach about trauma-informed care. The mission of Children First is: Strengthening children and families by improving the quality of their lives through a comprehensive approach to development, education, health, and well-being. This statement reflects the organization’s underlying aspiration for the successful achievement of Head Start and Early Head Start goals and objectives, and our main priority of kindergarten readiness for the children we serve. Children First Inc. holds the distinction of being a four-time Head Start “Program of Excellence.” Our agency is one of two to received this coveted designation four consecutive times, ranking our program in the top 1% of more than 1,800 nationwide. This designation is awarded to Head Start organizations that consistently demonstrate excellence in program management and service performance, and that continually support the achievement of robust outcomes for at-risk children birth to five years-old, pregnant women, families, and their communities. They must demonstrate financial integrity, program accountability, innovation, compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations, and comprehensive quality. Only nine other Head Start organizations throughout the country have achieved this level of recognition. Children First is honored to serve children and strengthen families. Center for Supportive Communities (CSC) uses behavior science to create equal opportunities and meaningful change for children, families, and communities. Our experts translate evidence-based behavior science into real-world solutions that address complex social challenges—particularly where behavioral health, education, and juvenile justice intersect—advancing prevention-focused, public health strategies. Our work is data-driven, collaborative, and focused on outcomes that matter. CSC partners with schools, courts, government agencies, and community organizations to design and implement individualized, systems-level strategies that strengthen engagement, reduce risk, and promote long-term success. We emphasize early identification, prevention, and tiered intervention while advancing policies that support effective, community-based solutions. At the core of our work is SupportEd, CSC’s flagship, evidence-based program for reducing chronic absenteeism and preventing deeper system involvement. SupportEd integrates behavior science, mentorship, and cross-system collaboration to address root causes of school disengagement, strengthen family engagement, and keep youth connected to school and community.
