Untypical Thinking Information

Untypical Thinking is a small business based in Geelong, Australia. Unlike business consultancy firms, we pride ourselves of looking at things in an untypical way. Our ideas and solutions are innovative and often challenging. We consider ourselves to pragmatists and problem solvers. We are proud to say that we are NOT more of the same. We acknowledge that many organisations look to traditional thinking when they think about engaging a consulting firm and that really is OK with us. But, if you are seriously looking to change the way you do things in your organisation, do you really want to engage the same consultants time after time. We also acknowledge that our techniques and ideas might be seen as a bit "out there" by some organisations. We can push the boundaries of imagination and challenge as much or as little as you want us to. It was Isaac Newton who, in 1686, told us that an object will keep going in the same direction at the same speed unless an external force is applied to it. Albert Einstein came along a couple of hundred years later and suggested that "if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got". So, if it's time for change in your organisation you can keep moving in the same direction at the same speed. You can continue to do what you have always done. Or you can be Untypical.
