Splendour in the Grass is an annual Music, Arts and Youth Culture event that has taken place each July/August since 2001. It was held in Byron Bay (NSW, AUS) for the first 9 nine years and in Woodford (QLD) for 2010 and 2011. Splendour then made a spectacular return to its home town of Byron Bay in 2012 and then in 2013 the event was held at Splendour’s new permanent home, North Byron Parklands with a capacity of 25,000 people per day (over 3 event days). Splendour in the Grass is on the top of most discerning Australian music fan's wish-lists of must-go camping festivals, which results in feverish activity on the day tickets go on sale. Past years have featured a staggering array of the world's leading music talent including Smashing Pumpkins, Bloc Party, Jack White, Coldplay, The Pixies, The Strokes, Kanye West, TV On The Radio, The National, Mumford & Sons, Jane’s Addiction, LCD Soundsystem, Arctic Monkeys, Death Cab for Cutie, Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Florence and the Machine, Ben Harper, The Presets and many more.
