University Animal Hospital was founded in 1976 by Dr. Sam Adams. Dr. Adams had previously been an associate in other area clinics and chose his hometown of Fort Worth for his first private practice. In 1980 growth demanded the acquisition of more space, and UAH moved into a former gym a few yards away at 3109 McCart, where we have been ever since! The clinic has remained a Fort Worth landmark throughout the "behind Dunkin Donuts" years (when more people drove the right way down the one way street!), and on to the present day. Dr. Adams has had several associate veterinarians over the years, including Dr. Jones, Dr. Fish, Dr. Dickerson, and Dr. Riles. In 2009, Dr. Adams handed the reins over to longtime friend and associate DVM John Minnerly. Dr. Minnerly, with associates Dr. Wise and Dr. Williamson, look forward to providing the same standard of personal and professional care UAH has been known for for decades.
