Universal Engineering’s 58 year long history has seen the firm expand its market penetration and develop its diversity into new markets. Our mission is simply: To be a World Class Technology Provider Originally formed in 1957, our core business remains precision engineering. However, the complex asymmetric environment of the 21st Century and the changed economic circumstances bring new challenges into the defence and manufacturing sectors which have traditionally underpinned Universal’s outputs. Acquired by the Bland Group of Companies in late 2009, we design and manufacture components and assemblies into safety critical environments such as civil and military aviation, armoured land vehicles, sub-sea oil, gas and the nuclear industry.
