United Way York Region Information

We at United Way York Region believe there is no single way to solve our region’s most pressing issues. This is why we are working with a range of partners to find community-led solutions to our three community priorities: helping kids be all they can be, moving people from poverty to possibility and supporting strong neighbourhoods. United Way York Region (UWYR) serves nine municipalities across the region: Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and Whitchurch-Stouffville. Our Vision: A region where every neighbourhood is strong and vibrant and everyone has an opportunity to build a better life. Our Mission: United Way works to meet urgent human needs and improve social conditions by mobilizing the community’s volunteer and financial resources in a common cause of caring.
