United Glass Company - UGC Information

The United Company for Glass Containers is an Egyptian joint stock company with more than 250 employees engaged in high quality glass Pharmaceutical Packaging manufacturing according to international standards (medical ampules). It is the first glass ampule manufacturing company in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East when it was carrying the name of “El Nasr Glass Company”, which was established in 1968. In 2004 , an investment group bought the (Al Nasr Glass) and changed its name to be (MISR Glass manufacturing company). Later in 2008 a new state of art factory was built in 10th of Ramadan city, to be specialized in the pharmaceutical ampules.The factory and machines were fully commissioned by April 2009. The factory took the name of the United Glass Company (UGC). Pharmaceutical glass ampules (flint and amber colors) with capacity from 1 cc to 20 cc open (funnel and cut stem), closed (Marazochii and Rota), color break, one point cut, silk screen printed according to customers need. Tubes used in our factory are from SCHOTT - GmbH & Gerresheimer, the best suppliers in the world . Our glass enamels are from Ferro (France). The climate inside our factory is controlled by ventilation system making it the only glass ampules factory in Egypt to have this feature . we are granted: ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System), OHSAS 18001: 2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) ISO 13485: 2012 +AC:2007 (Quality Management System for Medical Devices). At the same time we are working to achieve ISO 15387: 2007 (Primary packaging materials for medicinal products. Particular requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2008, with reference to Good Manufacturing Practice), and CE Mark.
