Team Installers is an insulation contractor that provides all of your insulation needs. We have over 30 years experience in installing all types of insulation for your home or business. We continue to educate ourselves in the Building Science to provide you with the most current, energy efficient way of insulating your home or business. Insulation is one of the most effective energy saving measure for your home or building. How insulation works: Insulation provides resistance to heat flow. The more heat flow resistance your insulation provides, the lower your heating and cooling cost. Heat flow naturally flows from warmer to cooler. Heat loss gets replaced in the winter by your heater, where in the summer heat gain gets cooled by your air conditioner. The amount of air leakage between the building and the outside determines the amount of money spend replacing the conditioned air. Most older homes have less insulation than those today. Usually adding more insulation pays itself off in a few years. To know if you need additional insulation first you need to know how much and where you need it. Then you need to see if the building is leaking air. This can be done by having an energy audit to see how much air leakage the building has. Air leakage accounts for 5-40% of heating and cooling cost. One major air leaking area is the attic hatch, if not properly covered with insulation.
