In 2020, the whole world was amazed that many Egyptian universities started to jump up all together at once in the world rankings of universities. It's been said that they achieved this using a website developed by Egyptian students! The media all over the world said it's another Egyptian revolution in education after their revolution for freedom in 2011 using the same tool: The Internet! It all began in August 2007 when a team of 13 students founded UniMasr.com as a non-profit online community starting only with CUFE (Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering). They dreamed of a new era of social networking to serve a noble vision, an online universe for students and teaching staff. They believed in their dream as a powerful solution for the academic and social needs of their nation.
