Underground Brown was founded by Tony and Vicky Brown in 1992 to leverage Tony's 12 years of experience in underground utility installation techniques during his work with Telecom. The company's purchase of a directional drill pioneered directional drilling services in the South Island. Through excellence in performance and commitment to superior customer service, that "one-man band", with just one boring machine, has grown into an employer of over 100 people enabling us to deploy multiple machines in a wide variety of applications. Underground Brown is at the leading edge of directional drilling resources and trenchless technology in the South Island, we also specialise in open trench installations , thrust boring, pipe ramming, trenching for manhole installation, Water Reticulation, Gas Mains, Electrical Mains & Waste Water Mains. We also hire out our Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services & Hydro-Excavation units.
