Safe Horizon is the largest victim service organization in the country. Every year, 250,000 people seek safety through our services. Clients come to us following experiences of physical violence, sexual violence, community violence, emotional abuse, and exploitation. Often they have experienced multiple forms of harm, and for many, it was made worse by an institution that was supposed to protect them.
Our Mission: To stand with those who have experienced violence, abuse, and exploitation. We offer unwavering support and advocate for systemic change.
Our Vision: We envision a world where safety is a universal human right, and we all share a collective responsibility to protect and uphold it. We strive for a society where people are safe in their communities, homes, bodies, and minds.

For nearly twenty eight years, the National Domestic Violence Hotline has answered the call – over seven million calls, chats, and texts to date – for those affected by relationship abuse. As the only 24/7/365 national service provider offering services via call, chat, and text, we work to shine a light on domestic violence by supporting and advocating for survivors, providing hope in times of crisis, and promoting healthy relationships for all.
The Hotline provides confidential, one-on-one support to each caller/chatter/texter, offering crisis intervention, options for next steps, and direct connection to sources for immediate safety. Our comprehensive database holds more than 5,000 agencies and resources in communities all across the country. Bilingual advocates are on hand to speak with callers, and our Language Line offers translations in over 200 languages.
The Hotline is also an excellent source of help for concerned friends, family, co-workers and others seeking information and guidance on how to help someone they know. We work to educate communities all over through events, campaigns, and dynamic partnerships. Today, The Hotline is continuing to grow and explore new avenues of service.
