We work thoroughly with each farm to develop a plan to reduce water needs during the growing season, then a strategy to rebalance and recharge the groundwater from excess surface water flow, resulting in more water with less effort and resources. The extra groundwater serves as reserves for disruptions to water delivery. UmidaAG sustainability analysts design groundwater neutrality plans that exceed the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act rules. UmidaAG infrastructure projects are more than just groundwater rebalancing. The infrastructure helps farms move to 100% renewable energy use, and the pipe itself is made of 100% recycled plastic, lasting up to 80 years. Farms using the UmidaAG infrastructure can achieve zero carbon footprint and even negative carbon footprint (sequestering more carbon in the ground than what is used to grow the crop).
