Created in 1984, the University of Management, Economics and Finance (UMEF), previously known as the Institut Supérieur de Gestion et de Communication (ISGC), is an university situated in the very heart of Geneva, close to most of the major international organisations and many of the major banks. It has been steadily evolving for over 27 years, offering higher education in the fields of management, finance, marketing and communications. Our programmes are in strict compliance with the Bologna Treaty’s goal of providing responses to issues such as public responsibility for higher education and research, higher education governance, the social dimension of higher education and research and the values and roles of higher education and research in modern, globalised and increasingly complex societies with the most demanding requirements. In this regard, UMEF offers a modern education of excellent quality that combines both theory and practice with programmes that promote exchanges between our institution and other universities in Europe and beyond. Our students work in a multicultural context, making their time with us extremely rewarding and where we encourage an openness of thought and expression. UMEF welcomes students of all nationalities from all backgrounds. For students to flourish and to enjoy studying at UMEF, we promote an environment and an atmosphere conducive to success. Our classrooms are equipped with the latest multimedia technologies and a well-stocked library is available to students. Our tutors have been recruited according to strict criteria in order to guarantee an education of the highest quality. To maintain our standards and to improve the quality of the teaching on offer, all students are required to complete a questionnaire at the end of each semester.
