UMCIL (Universal Mining and Chemical Industries Limited) is a wholly Zambian owned company and a proud subsidiary of Trade Kings Group. First registered in Zambia in 1989 and finally commissioned in 2008, UMCIL is the largest integrated iron and steel manufacturer in Zambia and among the largest in Sub Saharan Africa with a distribution network spanning all COMESA countries. UMCIL dedicates itself to the promotion, development, use and value addition to Zambian domestic raw materials including Iron ore, Manganese ore and Coal as well as the adoption of best practices from mine to market with due care in terms of environmental and social sustainability. Consistent with the Trade Kings Group's stringent quality standards, UMCIL's focuses on technology, quality assurance and testing to deliver steel consistent with the highest regional and domestic standards.
