Ultracut Information

Ultracut Tools was established in February 1991 and now manufacture an extensive range of highly specialised, made to order, high speed steel and solid carbide cutting tools. In early 1997 Ultracut Tools strived to obtain Quality Assurance. In February 1998, Ultracut was rewarded by receiving Quality Assurance ISO 9002, one of the foremost accreditations achievable in the engineering industry. Mid 1998 ULTRACUT decided it was time to advance to the computer side of the industry therefore AutoCAD was purchased and is used to develop jobs to a higher degree of accuracy and optimisation for the task required. Early 1999 saw another turning point for Ultracut Tools when an ANCA RGX tool and cutter grinder and a WALTER HELTIRONIC tool and cutter grinder was purchased to maintain the quality to which our customers have so deservingly required in the past. Another industry advantage that ULTRACUT has purchased is a 3D Cimulator from ANCA which is SPECIALISED software to use on a personal computer that allows the correct development of cutting geometries and correct flute profiles without having to grind the tooling, once the correct profile is obtained the file is simply uploaded to the RGX ANCA and grinding commences. The 3D CIMULATOR also maintains a high degree of consistency when the customer decides to re-order the particular tool again.
